Welcome to OptiSchool. OptiSchool is a FREE, online instructional tool developed by the Angel Ramos Foundation in partnership with various organizations. OptiSchool's primary goal is to improve the linguistic skills of Deaf and hard of hearing children.

Although OptiSchool was developed primarily for Deaf and hard of hearing children, it can also be used by parents, family members, and anyone who wants to learn American Sign Language to better communicate and/or interact with Deaf and hard of hearing children and adults.

This is a FREE website and there is no cost to use these instructional lessons. OptiSchool is totally funded by donations from organizations and individuals like yourself. Each week we will bring you a new lesson along with cartoon drawings for students to color and make into a dictionary. The first 30 lessons will be for kindergarten students. With enough funding and educational partners we hope to start 1st grade lessons in 2008 along with a Spanish version.

Currently, you do not need to log-in to use OptiSchool. To begin using OptiSchool, just click on "Lessons by Grade" on the top menu and click on the "Kindergarten Lesson 1"--"Vocabulary Lesson." Login using the Demo info provided. After the student has completed the lesson you can start making a picture dictionary for your student by printing the pages found at "Kindergarten Lesson 1"--"Add to Your Picture Dictionary."
